Hi Kashan

Good issue. Yes, I've seen this effect happen many times, while 
developing code for an instrument using the IDC2, although it's not been 
a problem for me (yet).

I ought to look into a) pulling all PIC port pins up or down as 
appropriate, and/or b) having some sort of master disconnect system in 
place so that field reprogramming does not cause the unwanted random 
operation of scary things, e.g. 10-ton presses, welding robots etc.
