Joe, This is not directly related to your original question, but I think it worth a mention. If you plan to use AC162049 with PICKit 2, you have to disable the LED on that board. This is because PICKit 2 won't be able to supply sufficient current for the LED. The simplest way to do this is remove the current limiting resistor.
