Hi all, I am looking into a problem in a system that uses CAN, and have the need to "look" at the data flowing on the Bus. I do not need the functionality of those analyzers used in cars for resetting setting and so on, I just need to see the traffic on the bus and possibly later send some packets. I had a look at the CAN bus specification and I am looking at the bus now using one of microchip's CAN transceivers and a logic analyzer but is not the easiest of things to do Hence I would like to build my own CAN Analyzer. I have looked at the datasheet of the PIC18F2680 and it seem that if I set the acceptance filters to all zero it will accept any message, hence I could see all the traffic on the bus is this correct?
