Ha ha OK, and try and dumb yourself down to the most-careless
user level. Which isn't always easy. Oh, someone would never do
*that* would they ?

Like my neighbour who was messing about with solar panels. He
once spent a summer working at Dick Smith's, so he totally knows
what he's doing (!!!) "You might want to put some diodes in there,
I'll go and get you a few", I said, offering. "Nah, I'll be careful,
anyway it's got fuses" ***

So, he hooks up something backwards. How many fuses blew ?
How many wires burned ? Who's portable stereo could now get
a part in a famous Monty Python sketch ? (beautiful bird, the
Norwegian Blue)

Friend of my nephew grabbed the wrong plug-pack for a Cry-
baby wah pedal. +ve tip instead of -ve. A 2c diode would have
prevented a $300 effects pedal being trashed. Still can't believe
they left one out at that price. User error, but foreseeable

*** A boss of mine tried to install his own car stereo. 1A fuse
kept popping. Logical next step ? Bigger fuse of course. He got
to a 40A headlight fuse before the dash wiring caught fire
