I'd never heard of centralised hot water, and then I hear about it twice
in one day. First you mention it, then I see an item on the news about
the Russian gas not getting to Bulgaria. One place visited was the town's
hot water 'factory', which ain't factorying much hot water at all right now.

Cue follow-up scenes of freezing occupants of tenements boiling water
on wood stoves and ranges, not looking very happy
