mmm, not supported on any windows version below vista, so unless either 
card manufacturers ignore that part of the spec or reader manufacturers 
supply thier own filesystem driver I could see this being an issue. I 
don't think it's currently supported on linux either.

Assuming that is the maximum supported it really doesn't seem that high, 
hard drives are already there and SD cards are only a couple of orders 
of magnitude off.
