(happy new year everyone) Has anyone else experienced this problem, where the PIC will happily run in debugger mode, but will generally not run after having been programmed with exactly the same code for standalone use? The "release from reset" facility fails to start the PIC at all, and it also appears that MPLAB takes too short a time to fully program the device (compared with how long it takes to program it in debug mode). A workaround appears to be running in debug first, then entering programmer mode and immediately downloading the code, then releasing from reset. However, I thought that just programming should work fine first time. No doubt I'm doing something daft, but if this rings any bells with anyone then I'd like to know.
