I use a temp controlled iron at work, WR3M, and I keep the Iron at 600F for small smd and pretty much any light duty PCB work, 630F for slightly heavier stuff (smaller devices attached to ground planes) The SP80 soldering iron hooked to the station is very capable, with the 80 watt element, it will heat most anything quickly with a sufficient thermal bridge. At home I have a WESD51 and use 6-700F depending on the work.
