It can be useful if you only need to use the IDE and simulator.
If you want to use the hardware components like ICD 2 and
PICKit 2, then forget about Wine. It does not work at all with
USB related hardware and normally does not work
with serial ports.

But in the end, I think Virtual Machines like VMWare
