It seems that updating the COMPILER from the free version that came with my PIC24 Start-Kit to the payed C30 version 3.11B solved this issue ... Native Trace is now working as advertised. I would certainly not have expected that, thinking the evaluation compilers support ALL features, just lack in code-optimizations. And tracing seems to be implemented in the IDE (macro insertition) rather than by the compiler itself. Would be nice if someone from Microchip could confirm if this is indeed a limitation of the free compilers or not ... (Did not get any reply to this on the MicroChip MPLAB forum sofar) Regards, JvW Jan van Wijk, author of DFSee; http://www.dfsee.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
