Does anyone know of a freeware and/or open source program for analyzing serial communications? What I am looking for is a program that uses the RX line on two separate serial ports and a special 'tap' cable to monitor both the RX and TX lines of a standard serial port. I want to be able to view the communication in hex, preferably with byte-by-byte timestamps. Extra points if the software can save an interaction to disk and reload it to view later.
