We had a cat ramp that ran up the aide of the house to a dining room window that was left ajar. On some nights our cat used to bring home rats or occasionally small rabbits and eat the upper half and leave the lower half on the kitchen mat. Cleaning up the bottom half of a rat or rabbit was not my favourite morning activity. I and my wife got used to interpreting the louder than normal thump of cat jumping off the window sill onto the floor with extra payload and I'd get up and evict pussy and its unfortunate meal target for outside processing. No RFIDs available back then and it still wouldn't have helped when the cat had a pillion passenger. .
