OK, a honest question deserves a honest answer. Look at your whole post above. Now look carefully at which lines are truly relevant to whatever you're replying about and which ones are irrelevant content or just signatures or artifacts of the list server. In this case, everything above "Still no trimming..." isn't required to understand your reply or the context it is in. Similarly, the lines below "... clearly deliberate" are also content-free footers and list server droppings. "Trimming" means deleting those lines. The purpose is to eliminate clutter that takes space and makes it harder to see the stuff that matters. Here is what I consider the appropriately trimmed version of your post: > On Fri, Dec 5, 2008 at 5:47 PM, Olin Lathrop wrote: >> Still no trimming. You don't seem to get it. Obviously (hopefully) you undertand that there is one more level of ">" above than your post would actually have, since I'm quoting it within my message. Note that this time I didn't trim your post that I'm replying to because in this unusual case the issue is the whole post. Look at most of the other replies from me and Wouter and others and you should be able to spot the in-line replying and trimming. ******************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, http://www.embedinc.com/products (978) 742-9014.
