Try to take the good and ignore the provocative bullying and you'll get some value for money. Rise to the bait and you'll end up in a subtle flame war - and as he's more talented than most at subtle goading while maintaining some pretense of reasonableness, you may end up looking like the villain, as has happened on various occasions before.
