Both data pins are tied together, and then pulled up to +V and down to ground. And...bingo! The iPhone seems to charge great. The iPod seems happier as well. This of course makes me happier! Now I need to look at the cigarette lighter to USB adapter I have that doesn't seem to like the iPod...
