That is why some companies start to support Mac OS X. I believe Microchip is also working on to support Mac OS X for some components. It makes sense as Mac OS X users are far more likely to pay for software than Linux users. So it makes better business sense. It is virtually impossible right now for small software ISVs to earn money from Linux.
