Yes, I think this is the main issue at this age. They ask a lot, and I think it's important to take the time to answer, but the answer should remain within their range. Which of course is different for everybody, and changes quickly in that age. And they ask about pretty much everything, so asking doesn't really mean they have a deeper interest. In the end, I think you can see the real interest by the time the kid spends on his/her own, trying to figure things out. Without that, nothing goes very far.
