At home Youtube would be fine but at work, it is a bandwidth hog. Basically we don't have enough bandwidth for, say, half of the employees to stream video at once, so I don't feel that it is a good solution for me to do it. So, why not run it at home and forward only the video to work. You could use eg VNC to manage the play lists. In fact, you may be able to persuade VNC to forward audio and not video if you link to a playing home system. Being open source it should be highly doable.
