I wish to operate my Vista work PC from my Linux box at home. I'm still reading about SSH, rdesktop, various VNC and VPN versions, etc. I'm a bit wary that Vista doesn't work very well with some of this technology. It seems I have to set my work PC up as a server, and my home PC would be the client. Not sure about setting up SSH at either end, however; perhaps that function is incorporated into the server software? I think I can cope with configuring home and work routers once it's clear what ports need opening or forwarding etc. Has anyone any successful experiences of accessing a Vista PC over internet, using a remote Linux PC?
