looking to see what is out there to add wireless to a pic board.

we have a small board with a pic that we need to send data wirelessly
to a computer in the shop warehouse. there should be an app, (virtual
rs-232 ports??) on the computer to receive the data so an app like
excel or mysql can read it.

i've looked at these two products. one is a bit more expensive than we
would like to spend. not too sure about the xbee but it's cost is
good. i need to keep the cost down due to we're selling these modules
to the warehouse folks.

any other product ideas, suggestions regarding adding inexpensive
wireless/point2point with a pic board in a small warehouse type
setting?
