The ultrasonic stuff is unlikely to drive away mice. There's also companies claiming their products can drive off bugs and whatnot which is totally fictional for sure. The coolest thing ever is the RatZapper: http://www.ratzapper.com/ It's an electric chair for mice and rats. It does work. Actually works best with NiMH batts, with standard alkalines it's said to have problems drawing too much current for the batts. Dump out the dead rodent and reuse.
