The point at which I have to decide what more I can offer is when I offer important advice that is dismissed as not relevant. Regardless of whether or not tying /MCLR high is the cause of your problems, it is a potential problem in and of itself. The fact is you aren't sure if it is a problem since you have not eliminated it as such.
