While I agree that Peter and Gerhard turned it political, I disagree with 
Peter's assertion (more below).

May I ask for an explanation?

I quoted an article from a non-partisan, reputable, UK-based newspaper that 
is a recognized authority on the subject. If conversations related to 
economy are considered "political" and therefore off-limits, then may I ask 
that the rules be clarified, and applied consistently?
