Have a look at his web site, http://www.embedinc.com/olin/photos.htm it 
says (near the bottom) that he has written e-mail systems, or, rather he 
has "created software for handling email".

It is quite obvious that he is an e-mail expert, and that we should all 
bow to him.... ;-)

Rather, sit back, and enjoy the spectacle that he makes of himself every 
time he criticizes others for the same things that he does.

occasionally you can pipe up and remind him that he is being a jerk, 
but, that is probably not worth it either.

It appears that Olin is completely self-centered, and has no compunction 
to help others in a meaningful way unless it is self-promoting.

For what it is worth, I believe that FunnyNYPD and Olin are the only 
remaining people on Piclist who use non-compliant mail software (whether 
MTA's or MUA's). FunnyNYPD's simply does not include References or 
'In-Reply-To' headers, and Olin's system cripples mails that have long 
lines (even though part of the mail standards since the early days of 
e-mails). FunnyNYPD has the excuse of using Yahoo's mail systems (and 
Yahoo really should know better!). Olin has no excuse.

In regards to the long-lines, Olin has been whining for years that 
people should 'fix their mail systems' when it is in fact his own system 
that is broken.

I learned a long time ago (OK, well months ago), that Olin's opinions 
are not worth much, and that, in many cases it is best to take his 
comments with extreme amounts of salt.

When it comes to non-pic related discussions, I would rather take advice 
from my 5-year-old than him, since she has a more balanced and ethical 
outlook on life than Olin.

Here's an experiment, see if it works. The next line is a long line, and 
I wonder whether Olin will be able to read it..... ;-)
