Neil, I took the class this summer. I can't say it was great, but it wasn't bad either -- certainly worth my time and money (my prior USB experience was rather limited). Another guy from our company said that the pace of the presentation could have been increased x3, and I agree with him. This was the first paid Microchip class I attended (about three weeks before the Conference). The Microchip folks never check to make sure you've completed the prerequisites, and my theory is that the prerequisites are there so that when someone starts complaining that the material is "too hard", the pace is "too fast", or begins to ask stupid questions and slowing down the rest of the class, the instructor can say "you should take the prerequisites".
