I > guess it depends on how valuable my time is. I think you should be fine if you /print/ it to the Adobe Acrobat printer, not distill it. After printing, you should be able to set the security options of the new, printed document in Acrobat. (I haven't tried this with the Acrobat printer, but it works with pdfFactory.)
