I believe some kind of static effect course failure, monitor breakdown story 
behind... before monitor failure, 1 week ago my pen drive 2GB killed during 
unplug from computer, I realized that some electric static shorted to my 
hand when touching computer classic (casing), then I open up every thing to 
check for not grounding or loose,  at last found UPS supply Earth loose 
contact to house electricity plug socket to Earth. whole computer floating 
to ground intermittently. it was too late, during plug & unplug checking, 
monitor black-out.
