Have you had any luck with the MS tools? The SerialPort component is very 
easy to use.

Bob Blick sent me some code to test AsyncPro. I haven't been able to crash 
it (yet), but the results are not conclusive, since I wasn't able to crash 
one of our in-house programs either (it definitely crashed before). I'll 
test Bob's example code some more when we start porting our Delphi stuff to 
C++/C#.
