I don't know this particular camera but I can tell the Panasonic DMC TZ3 http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/panasonic-dmc-tz3.cfm can't be used for taking proffesional pictures to the stars, even indeed some options allows you to clearly see the difference on the LCD between various settings.
