Sure, what the hell...  The current portfolio of AVRs is a small  
number of parts next to the huge list of PICs, even if you only  
include the 8-bit PICs.

I wonder what happens to the closer-to-the-edge Atmel products. XMEGA,  
AVR32 ?
Could be they die; could be they're what Microchip is really wanting  
to acquire.
