So far I've had the bank I have my business account in (Washington Mutual)
absorbed by another bank. I'm also co-executor of my father's estate. We
had a CD in World Savings, who had a lot of bad mortgages. Earlier this
year (I think it was), World Savings was absorbed by Wachovia. Earlier
this week, Wachovia was taken over by Citi.

So far, no money lost, just a bunch of name changes...
