I'm not sure, but I think you can set up other sources. However, I think the WinXP time service is not a server, but rather a client. If this is correct, you'll need an (S)NTP server also. It may be that this is where the domain stuff comes in: if you have a domain server, it is likely that this includes a time server. FWIW, here are a few more links: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb490605.aspx http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314054 http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Configuring-Windows-Time-Service.html http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc773013.aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc773263.aspx (probably worth playing a bit with w32tm.exe) In case you need a 3rd party server, maybe this helps (lots of junk, but maybe the one or other pearl): http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Best/ntp-freeware.html This is one of the things you'd think should be easier, isn't it? :) Gerhard -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
