Worse - they stole familiar and frequently used key sequences and made them perform quite different and irrevocable actions - possibly without warning. One example: Alt-F V used to preview a page before printing. Now it takes a document in old format and converts it to the "latest" format with possible severe alterations and no automatic way back. It's a 3 way race between whether they are deliberately malicious or just very very very stupid, or both. Interestingly, some older Word formats cannot be read by the latest version(2) without an add in converter. In my one attempt to download this when prompted it took a long while [tm], then did and install, then failed to work anyway. It's hard to believe that these people looked at being at risk of ruling the world not too long ago.
