Especially if there was low pin packages as well... In that case, you should firstly look at PIC18K, up to 16MIPS at 64MHz clock. It is not as fast as the 100Mhz Silicon Labs C8051F but still pretty good for 8-bit. Then you can look at PIC24H which is up to 40MIPS, pretty fast for a 16bit MCU.
