To me it doesn't sound reasonable but what can I do. I tested to write 32768
bytes 
It takes 4.5 minutes. I tested internal EEPROM takes 3 ms per byte.
I am going to try FRAM like Bob suggested.

Sounds reasonable, doesn't it ?
The write time is 5 ms, add some time for the transfer.
