If it is out of budget, you may spend the time to earn some cash to increase the budget. Depending on your hourly rate it would take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. It is less time than the time to develop a unique device in a proper way. If you are smart enough to develop the device in less than two weeks, you, probably, could earn enough cash in less time to purchase the standard boxed solution.
