I'm using crimson editor in windows for a lot of years now, which is free and has a lot of features that other editors not always have. Built-in FTP client, for example, which allows editing files on another machine as they were local. It's possible to define some custom external actions on hot keys, for compiling or something else. Syntax highlighting can be switched off, if not wanted. Highly recommended. When working in linux, piklab's built-in editor is quite usable for PIC stuff, or just simple vim. And I agree about the color, my choice is light pastel blue background with black text. Selecting text just turns the background a bit darker. > > -- KPL -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
