In SX Microcontrollers, SX/B Compiler and SX-Key Tool, kgracey wrote: Hello Howard, Peter is correct - there are two production wafers for the SX (48/52 and the 20/28) and there were no unique wafers made for higher speed operation. What Scenix did, however, was test specific packaged die at 75 and 100 MHz. My understanding is that some sections of a wafer are often of higher quality and that those die were rated at higher speed. So, you could simply run these at 75 MHz without much issue and perhaps even 100 MHz if you want to. What you can count on with the SX line is consistency in production, longevity in supply, and good support from Parallax with nice tools, compilers and tutorials.
