I believe there were no special chips made... just testing of batches, and some were better than others, and those could be rated as such. Probably most current production will hit 100 MHz, but will be quite fussy about voltge and layout.

I have run standard chips at well over 100 actually, but not recently. I can have a go in a few days to see what the current performance is.
