I've used C on such devices, only that couple of times when I was *almost* sure that the project would have evolved into a larger PIC, and I wanted to preserve Code Portability. I know that Assembler among PICs gets quite similar, and hardware init'n has to be adapted as well... But C still gives to me, IMO, a safer environment.
