Went to customer site, sorted out the problem, and the customer happened to pass some remark about how the previous service call some time back had been rather expensive, apparently the HPFM generator had been replaced. Colleague gets back to workshop, looks up customer history, and sure enough there was an account to replace the HPFM generator. Calls up Tech concerned, to find out what the story is, and apparently said Tech had spent a rather long time on site, without finding what the fault was. Eventually everything just started working, and he couldn't make it fail. So he billed the customer an appropriate amount of time as an 'HPFM Generator's. So the inevitable question - what is an HPFM generator? Oh that is a High Power F.....
