Tony, I think it's great that you get involved. I believe that getting involved in the political process for some people is rewarding. At some point all people get involved one way or another, but perhaps not always on their own terms. The real challenge is the research. Not because it is difficult, but because of the hours invested in digging through archival documents, and digging out resources beyond "the news," which is rarely trustworthy. Historical analysis is a "non-Trivial Pursuit." It can be complex and very time consuming. But it is a cumulative thing.
