Get a new one.  That old dinosaur isn't worth bothering with.  14" was
pretty small even in 1996.  You'll find monitors are a lot cheaper now 12
years later.  Trying to fix one is a waste, especially since your cathode
coating has worn out.  You can probably replace it with a 19" LCD for what
you paid for the klunker back then.
