More below. | [snip] Nope! The pinout is on page 9 of DS51553, the PICkit2 manual. The rightmost pin, which is the pin marked with the triangle, is VPP. Proceeding left the remaining pins are VDD, Ground, PGD, PGC, and AUX. It is not necessary to connect AUX in order to do programming or debugging, but it can be used by the logic probe and logic analyzer. The other five pins (VPP, VDD, Ground, PGD, and PGC) all need to be connected to the corresponding pins on the PIC.
