Should I look that > harder? :-) As far as I know, the USB spec does not allow for ANYTHING like a "power only dumb device." *ALL* that stuff violates the spec, as are any cables without an A male connector on one end and a B (or miniB/ microB) male connector (or a low speed device) connector on the other end...
