These people would love the Irish language; the word for black is 
"dubh", and the word for blue is "gorm". We call a black person "duine 
gorm" (literally "blue person"). Why? Because the term "duine dubh" 
(literally "black person"), refers to an immoral cruel bastard of a 
person. There's never been a fuss about it, you'll see it in Irish 
dictionaries. Beginners are commonly corrected for calling a black 
person "duine dubh".

Political Correctness is at its worst, in my opinion, when it introduces 
a euphemism for something that shouldn't need be euphemised. If I was in 
a foreign country and someone referred to me as "light-skinned" or 
"uncoloured", I'd tell them to call me white, and I wouldn't be happy 
that they felt the need to euphemise it or tip-toe around it.
