I am completely happy with the Vostro I bought; typing on it right now! Glad I got it before the "price adjustment"... it will be interesting to see how the dust settles on this issue of making XP more difficult to obtain. Vista might work fine for me but right now, I just don't have time to fight non-compatible software/hardware issues, if any. This looks a bit nicer than the EEE PC so I went for it and added on about another $75 for a bigger battery pack and 1 full gig of ram. Their web ordering failed 3 times to complete the order so I called it in. This was lucky as they have a very fluid stock situation. My order would have been around $525; they offered me one with 2 gigs of ram, a faster processor, a bigger battery and a better dvd drive for $449. So if anyone wants a low end portable, this might be of interest. >> >> >> >> Hi Marcel, >> One option is the Dell Vostro small business line.
