Just a quick word of warning:

    Before you go to install XP, make sure that the target drive is 
listed as C:. I remember one time I had a multi-partition disk; when I 
booted off the XP CD (actually it was a DVD because I'd run out of 
CD-R's ;-) ), it had the target partition listed as D:. So anyway I went 
ahead with the install.

After it has installed, I went into My Computer. It was still D:. So my 
next mission was to find out how to change that to C:. I found out how. 
I did it. And stuff stopped working.

So anyway make sure it's C:.
