In SX Microcontrollers, SX/B Compiler and SX-Key Tool, Oria wrote: Sup all? :) My name's Arye and I'm a 20 y/o boy from Israel. I've no prior experience with microcontrollers, and since this entire field in electronics is extremely fascinating, I thought I'd start learning how to use them! :) For a guy who only know the bais theory of electricity and a bit of digital logic, and that has never used or designed circuits with microcontrollers before, is it a good starting point to buy the SX Tech Tool Kit and use it to learn the SX Microcontroller? Is the SX Microcontroller a good MCU to start with at all, or is it a bit too advanced? I've seen that the kit comes with Gunther Daubachs' book, and I've also downloaded and printed the 200+ pages book about the SX Microcontroller that's found on parallaxs' web-site in the documentation area. Could I use this two books together with the kit in order to start and learn how to use microcontrollers and especially how to use the SX Microcontroller? Or do you suggest any other books/kits/MCUs to start with? Please tell me if I should start the way I described, and you find it not suitable for a total beginner, please suggest a better way. Thanks a lot in advance, yours greatly, Arye. :) P.S: When answering, please remember that I'm a total beginner in this entire Microcontrollers field! :) No prior experience, no nothing. Just a bit of electricity and digital logic, that's all I know. :( ---------- End of Message ---------- You can view the post on-line at: http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=7&p=1&m=275653 Need assistance?
