Clamshells for SOIC 28 do exist, search on (eg) DigiKey 3. A SOIC clip (SOIC version of the common DIP clip) is less easy than a clamshell, but can be used after assembly For a programmer: any ICSP programmer will do, pickit2 is never a bad choice, but for production work you might want a variable-Vdd programmer (check Olin's product line). -- Wouter van Ooijen -- ------------------------------------------- Van Ooijen Technische Informatica: www.voti.nl consultancy, development, PICmicro products docent Hogeschool van Utrecht: www.voti.nl/hvu -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
